As always, the decision whether to participate, or not, is totally up to each individual but please let your team's coaching staff know if you're going to be absent so they can plan accordingly. When conditions are "iffy", final decisions are often made at the park at game time by those involved on a game-by-game basis.
Put on your running shoes and plan to get to the park early to do some warm-up exercises.
Bring some warm clothes, sunscreen, a thermos of fresh water, maybe a post-game snack!
Don't forget your glove --- and bat and helmet if you have your own.
